Transparency

Being transparent is mandatory for public agencies and depends on two important parameters: 1) making sure the public has easy access to important information and 2) providing meaningful information that is easy to understand and encourages sound policy decisions. What is most meaningful to the EWA Board of Directors, its member agencies, and the public is information that clearly explains the reasoning behind EWA’s activities and the motivations driving proposed investments. Given its transparency commitment, EWA provides timely and accurate responses to public records requests, emphasizes standards and motivations in all communications, produces clear and compelling cases for investment, and works openly and cooperatively with its member agencies and regional partners.
